The Ghost of the Dam
Where History Lingers and Fish Fight Against the Current

The North Avenue Dam was removed in 1997… but its ghost still lingers beneath the water. Join us for a night of spooky history, community conversation, and fishy fun as we imagine a healthier future for the Milwaukee River Greenway.

Tuesday, October 28, 4 to 6 PM
Restoring Lands (2134 N Riverboat Rd, Milwaukee)

Guided tours will set out every 20 minutes, with the last tour at 5:30 PM, and will explore:

  • -Legends of the Sturgeon

  • -Shadows of the Dam

  • -Currents of Today

  • -Future Visions

Warm up with hot cocoa by the fire. Meet community partners and learn about restoration projects. Discover how native fish like sturgeon and northern pike are still navigating the river’s hidden challenges.
